Mindfield 16(1): Psi & Fiction, Part 1

In this special inaugural issue featuring the new website of Mindfield: The Bulletin of the Parapsychological Association, the contributors for Mindfield 16(1) take as their lead the broad theme of psi and fiction. To celebrate the Bulletin’s evolution, we are making the following essays open-access: Mindfield Editors explore how fiction factors into thinking about and researching the paranormal; Everton Maraldi offers the presidential column; George Williams explores the relationship between the animated television show Avatar: The Last Airbender and the nature of psi; Leo Ruickbie is interviewed and examines how enchantment has influenced his research.

In addition, PA Members & Premium Subscribers have exclusive access to the following additional articles: Anastasia Wasko details how American science fiction trends help process the collective shadow; Catherine Auman delves into the taboo world of spectrophilia and its impact on popular culture; Maurice van Luijtelaar and Renaud Evrard present the forty-second installment of Articles Relevant to Parapsychology in Journals of Various Fields
