The Mindfield Bulletin is a publication of the Parapsychological Association, edited by Jacob W. Glazier (Lead Editor) with Anastasia Wasko (Associate Editor). It features theoretical, research, and historical articles along with columns by the PA President and PA Executive Director, news in the field, bibliographies of articles relevant to the study of parapsychology, and articles about researchers and laboratories around the world. Mindfield welcomes submissions that are popularly accessible and written in plain language yet are well-referenced, thus appealing to scholars, scientists, and supporters of our field alike.
We are actively seeking contributions of articles, news announcements, and references to articles relevant to parapsychology in the journals of various fields. Contributions may be accepted on any parapsychological topic. However, please find below several topics that will be discussed in the upcoming thematic issues:
- “Mapping the Unseen: Psi, Media, and the Cultural Imagination”: Inspired by the imaginative scope of Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets, this issue invites contributions that explore how psi manifests across media, art, literature, film, digital culture, and beyond. We seek work that examines the ways noetic science and parapsychological ideas—such as telepathy, synchronicity, precognition, mediumship, or the persistence of consciousness—are represented, reimagined, or experienced in contemporary and historical contexts. Submissions may include scholarly essays, creative works, interviews, media analyses, or reflective pieces that bridge the boundaries between science, spirituality, and storytelling. We especially encourage perspectives that challenge disciplinary divisions and reveal how psi phenomena continue to shape collective imagination and cultural expression. Join us in mapping the unseen threads that connect mystery, meaning, and the human drive to know what lies beyond. Deadline: March 15th, 2026
- “Clinical Approaches for Exceptional Experiences in Children & Adolescents”: This issue invites submissions that explore clinical, developmental, and phenomenological aspects of exceptional experiences in young people—including intuitive knowing, apparitions, past-life memories, near-death or out-of-body events, and other anomalous perceptions. We welcome work from clinicians, researchers, educators, and interdisciplinary scholars addressing assessment, interpretation, and therapeutic approaches for children and adolescents. Submissions may include case reports, research, reflective essays, or creative integrative methods. We especially encourage nonpathologizing, developmentally sensitive, and ethically informed perspectives. Deadline: June 15th, 2026
- “Addressing Pseudoskepticism”: For decades, parapsychology has been under fire from pseudoskeptics, cynics, and denialists of all things deemed to be antithetical to the process of accepted science and critical thinking, leading scholars such as Etzel Cardeña (2015) to reflect on a pervasive and “unbearable fear of psi.” Further, the Guerilla Skeptics and other organizations have essentially waged an all-out war on all areas of fringe science that they deem to be problematic through methods such as commandeering the Wikipedia pages of public scholars and academicians, engaging in ad hominem attacks on them and their body of work. What are some ways that parapsychological scholars, students, and advocates have helped or could help to future-proof the discipline and themselves, not only by adding to the field but also by buttressing themselves and the phenomena under study against this kind of extreme anti-intellectual, pseudoscientific behavior? Deadline: October 15th, 2026
