Articles Relevant to Parapsychology in Journals of Various Fields (XLIII)

by Maurice van Luijtelaar and Renaud Evrard

For the forty-third installment of our bibliography, we collected 406 articles that are relevant to parapsychologists and scholars of related fields. These were taken from 333 different journals and four conference proceedings. Thirty-nine journals provided multiple articles.

We want to draw attention to a discussion forum in Cortex, 172(2024), on the article by Freedman et al. (2024), about “Enhanced Mind-Matter Interactions following rTMS Induced Frontal Lobe Inhibition.” This article received commentaries by: Kekecs (2024); Moscovitch (2024); Pilacinski, et al. (2024); Pisoni, et al. (2024); Schwarzkopf (2024); and a ‘Reply to Commentaries’ by Freedman et al. (2024).

Furthermore, we want to call attention to the article by Pires (2024), in Cultural Analysis, 22(1), about “Ethnopsychiatry of the Devil: Demonic Possession as a Cultural Language for Subjective Suffering in Contemporary Italy.” This article obtained responses by Laycock (2024) and McCloud (2024).

We selected three articles from a special issue in The Polish Journal of the Arts and Culture. New Series, 17(2023), about “Occultism and Politics in Central and Eastern Europe” by: Krok (2023); Ozhiganova and Tessma (2023); and Veszprémy (2023).

In a special issue of Religions, on “Communications with the Dead” we found five articles that are suitable for our bibliography: de Blécourt (2024); Đorđević Belić (2024); Gunnell (2024); Mencej, M. (2024); and Radulović (2024).

Finally we chose three articles from a special issue in Japanese Religions, 44(1 & 2), on “Japanese Religions and the Global Occult” including: Daisuke (2019); Gaitanidis and Stein (2019); and Person (2019).
